This session is for you if you are in a transitioning phase, if you are looking to move forward, or if you are already in this process and need the collective energy to support you. "Cords" refer to the energetic attachments that form either from us to others (people, objects, events, locations, phenomena, etc.), or vice versa. These cords don't always mean negative. At the same time, when working with energy, rather than assigning something as negative or positive energy, we are encouraged to see from a POV of vibrations - there are things that operate at higher vibes than others, and vice versa. Just that. As we move through life, there are times when certain cords can be let go to create space for new beginnings. Imagine a cup full of water: only when some of the water is poured out, new refreshing water can be filled in. We will incorporate Reiki to move, heal, and support the release of the cords. Himalayan singing bowls help with tuning our overall frequencies and vibrations to a more balanced state. Oracle decks are always hanging around if you want to work with ;)

The purpose of this session builds on the concept "Root to rise". The taller a tree is, the stronger its root system needs to be. The taller a building is, the deeper the foundation needs to be. When we seek growth and direction with our path, we can gain more clarity and strength when we are more grounded and centered. The monthly theme of this session will be considered depends on the energy flow around that time. January 2025's theme TBD

“Forest bathing” is a term influenced by the Japanese term shinrin-yoku; regardless, this practice of mindfully connecting with nature is embraced across the world. Research and studies have found its various benefits for our wholistic health, such as grounding, calming our nervous system, decreasing stress and blood pressure, and enhancing our moods as well as a sense of peace.
This gathering is an opportunity for us to wind down, to take a break from electronic devices and daily buzz, and to reconnect within. Our walk is immersed in the lush greenery, where we practice mindfulness and gratitude toward ourselves and our surroundings. We will co-create a beautiful mandala from foraged items. There will also be a dedicated time for journaling and sharing over herbal tea.
Facilitators: I am co-facilitating this experience with my lovely friend Farah (website), who is a devoted yoga student with over two decades of teaching experience. Based in Nanaimo, Farah has been offering yoga retreats and conflict resolution over the years. She also is an awesome green thumb who has such grounding connection with nature!
